Our client
We are working with Neptune North – an exciting new joint venture start up based in the UK focusing on delivery high calibre software solutions for their clients in the financial services and alternative investment industry. Neptune North, with the backing of their partners have moved from start up to scale up in a matter of months and are only looking to grow. While based in the UK, their main client has offices across the globe and therefore Neptune North are looking to expand and are looking for a NZ based Devops specialist.

The role
If you’re a great DevOps Engineer and great communicator who loves working on demanding initiatives and solving challenging problems that need to be delivered at pace then Neptune North could be the right place for you. You will be working with teams based in NZ, UK and USA (working NZ time zone), working on highly complex financial management and trading software.

Key Requirements

  • Powershell / Scripting languages
  • C#, Python or Java development experience
  • Experience with Infrastructure as code – Ansible, Terraform or similar.
  • Containerisation using Docker, and orchestration via Kubernetes or Docker Swarm
  • Monitoring with ELK, Grafana or equivalent
  • CI/CD with TeamCity
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Windows and Linux administration experience
  • The ability to communicate clearly and professionally with our clients as well as team members
  • A computer science degree or similar with a high pass mark from a university ranked in the top 300 in the world.

Neptune North are based in the UK but and are looking to grow a team here in NZ so this is a fully remote role and the successful applicants can work from home anywhere in NZ. Please note you must have the right to live and work in NZ to apply.
