Machine Operator | Night shift

This global company creates products for access solutions and door openings in homes, businesses, and institutions. This includes doors, door and window hardware, mechanical and smart locks, access control and service. They are on the search for a night shift Die Cast machine operator team member to join their hardworking team located on the North Shore on night shift.

About the role:

• Able and willing to stand for long periods of time
• Operating of basic machine maintenance of a zinc die cast machine
• Lifting up to 25kgs - (this could be products, parts, supplies etc)
• Pushing and/or pulling
• Operating the allocated die cast machine
• Final inspection of the product
• Diagnose and adjust equipment to insure meet guidelines
• Be able to trouble shoot
• Staging tools for set up of next production run
• Documenting inspection and production results
• Monday to Thursday 2.30pm - 1am

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in a similar machine operator role
• Problem solving skills
• Organizational skills
• Written and verbal communication
• Mechanical aptitude - general understanding of mechanical process
