About the Role

Are you a senior registered nurse looking for a new challenge and want to take your career to the next level? We have an excellent opportunity for a duty nurse manager to join our team. The duty nurse manager is responsible for the co-ordination of the Waikato hospital campus, to ensure safe, appropriate and efficient management and utilisation of resources that supports patient care and flow.



About the Team

The Duty Nurse Manager team are responsible for the 24/7 daily operations of Waikato Hospital and provide support to Thames and the Rural Hospitals also.



About you

Required skills & experience you will need to be considered for this role:

  • Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand as a registered nurse with at least 5 years post registration in an acute hospital setting.
  • A current practising certificate with the Nursing Council of New Zealand is a mandatory requirement of the role.
  • Previous experience in a senior nursing and/or patient flow role is highly desirable 
  • Proven leadership ability 
  • Demonstrate the ability to plan, organise and work collaboratively with others.
  • Agile, proactive and positive in your approach.
  • Duty Nurse Manager experience preferred.
