Registered Nurses - Emergency Department, Nelson Hospital

Fixed Term 0.8FTE (8 months)

(64 hours per fortnight) rostered and rotating Monday - Sunday.

  • ED or Acute Care post-registration experience is preferred

You will never have an uneventful day in the Nelson Hospital ED! 

ED nursing uses all your skills and provides daily learning opportunities, with around 31500 patient presentations per annum across the lifespan. We focus on excellent, quality care and are committed to improving the experience of patients and their whanau.

Ko wai he kaitono tōtika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?)

You will be a NZ Registered Nurse with a current NZNC practising certificate and post-registration nursing experience in ED or acute care. You will also be a team player, who enjoys keeping up to date with clinical practice, with excellent organisational and time management skills and a commitment to quality.

The full-time equivalent salary range for Registered Nurses is $81,683 to $103,750 based on the current NZNO Nursing and Midwifery MECA, dependent on skills, experience, and registration in NZ.
