About the company:
My client are proud industry leaders in the supply of industrial thermal energy solutions. With a strong forward workload in decarbonisation and the design and build of industrial thermal plant and equipment they now require an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their established team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, specify, and manage electrical projects providing engineering support to industrial clients and internal teams
- Tender, select and manage the sub-contract manufacturing of key electrical components
- Produce electrical design drawings using design software
- Prepare and manage electrical project documentation
- Specify, select and manage the supply of electrical devices and instruments
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of industrial plant and equipment providing on site engineering support to contractors during construction
- Project Manage and collaborate with cross-functional teams ensuring key electrical components are supplied to programme
- Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety regulations and contract specifications
- Manage pre-commissioning and commissioning electrical activities including hands on commissioning when required
- Deliver handover and acceptance documentation efficiently
Your Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary Electrical Engineering qualification
- Intermediate level of electrical project engineering experience with industrial heat transfer plant and equipment such as boilers, air heaters and related electrical systems
- Renewable Energy experience
- Proficiency with electrical design software
- Strong knowledge of electrical and automation systems and their application to process and thermal plant
- Extensive understanding of MV electrical systems
- Current unrestricted Work Rights for New Zealand
