Job Description

This is a Permanent position that involves frequent travel, with majority of your work time spent travelling throughout New Zealand during weekdays Monday to Friday, with all expenses paid. Over 80% of this role involves travel outside of Wellington, including overnight stays for on-site installations and servicing. Travel, accommodation, and allowances are fully covered.

We are seeking a highly motivated and committed Technician Assistant to Install and service a range of access solutions of domestic homelifts and stairlifts. Provide fault finding and troubleshooting. This role requires a high degree of professionalism, independence, and the ability to uphold the integrity and reputation of a family-owned business.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Mechanical or installation background (preferred).

• Electrical experience would be advantageous but not essential.

• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Full, clean NZ driver’s license and police vetting.

• Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in technical and electrical fault-finding (up to 24 volts).

• Excellent communication skills and report writing.

• Basic knowledge of hand tools and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support sales introductions, quotations, follow-up, and customer liaison. Foster positive customer relationships with a focus on respect and service excellence.

• Over 80% of this role involves travel outside of Wellington, including overnight stays for on-site installations and servicing. Travel, accommodation, and allowances are fully covered.

• Maintaining high standards of quality and safety on-site, while adhering to company procedures and targets.

• Liaising with customers and contractors, conducting installations, and performing ongoing servicing and repairs of products.

Work Schedule:

• Core hours: 7.30am -4.00pm Monday to Friday.
