Nestled in the heart of the North Island, Taupō Hospital is renowned for its breath-taking landscapes, including the majestic Lake Taupo, the largest freshwater lake in Australasia. The region boasts scenic mountains, lush forests, and geothermal wonders, providing endless opportunities for outdoor activities.
We are seeking an Emergency Specialist to work in our Taupō Hospital. You will be a part of a small competent and supportive team which provide 24/7 medical cover to a population of approximately 41,000.
Use your varied and broad generalist knowledge and experience to diagnose and treat your patient in ED, through to discharge or stabilise and transfer patients to the Secondary/Tertiary Hospitals when required.

To be suitable for this position applicants must:
- be within 3 months of obtaining their Emergency Medicine qualification
- and or hold or be eligible for Specialist (Vocational) registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand - click here for the MCNZ Registration Self-Assessment Tool
- provide an up to date CV, Cover Letter and 3 written references either on an RP6 form
The above position comes with an attractive relocation remuneration package and CME allowance for successful long term and permanent appointments.
