Mō te tūnga | About the role

Are you ready to make a real impact in our organization? We're on the lookout for a dynamic Employee Relations Advisor to elevate our people strategy and enhance our workplace culture!

In this role you will sound professional Employee Relations advice to our people leaders. Manage your own cases with the support of excellent team and work closely with skilled Senior ER Advisors to support complex ER cases, while ensuring compliance with HR policies and legal requirements and helping leaders navigate HR risks. You will be in a supportive learning environment, growing your knowledge and confidence in employment relations. Part of this role will involve contributing to the evolution of our employment practices, policies, and procedures. Develop resources and tools to standardize ER practices across the business.

Be a key player in fostering a positive workplace environment. Stay ahead of the curve with ongoing updates on employment legislation. Collaborate on exciting People and High-Performance projects.

Some key requirements of the role include: 

  • Able to assess and identify problems efficiently and working with others to develop solutions
  • Detailed knowledge of current NZ employment law and HR practices
  • Excellent stakeholder focus you will delight in anticipating and meeting customer and Business Partner needs and be a superb relationship manage
  • A good eye for detail - it's not often you get it wrong
  • Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture
