Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Waka Kotahi Safety Camera System team as an Enforcement Officer.
The purpose of this role is to process safety camera offence tasks and make decisions in relation to enforcement activities. A core part of the role will be accurately verifying data and information provided by safety cameras to determine the correct course of action while adhering to detailed guidelines to meet legislative requirements and evidential standards.
You'll efficiently and effectively support customers with their safety camera offence requests and have a strong manaakitanga and ensuring a seamless customer experience.

Hours
We are currently recruiting for hours on a rotating roster between Monday to Friday 7.55am - 6pm. Full time, 40 hours per week.
Training
You'll need to be available full time between 8am - 4.30pm, for 4 weeks training starting on Tuesday 21 January 2025.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Strong interpersonal skills and proven experience in building and fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- Ability to work autonomously and seek guidance where needed.
As a requirement for the role you will need to obtain and maintain Enforcement Officer Certification.
You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. Come with knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
