About the role

Our Enrolled nurses deliver nursing care and health education across the life span to health consumers in community, residential or hospital settings.

You will:

  • contribute to nursing assessments, care planning, implementation and evaluation of care for health consumers and/or families/whanau
  • assist health consumers with the activities of daily living, observe changes in health consumers' conditions and report these to the registered nurse, administer medicines and undertake other nursing care responsibilities appropriate to their assessed competence
  • work in a team in acute settings with a registered nurses, enrolled nurses and healthcare assistants
  • be accountable for their nursing actions and practice competently in accordance with legislation, to their level of knowledge and experience
  • work in partnership with health consumers, families/whanau and multidisciplinary teams.

About you

To succeed in this role you will:

  • be passionate, committed and most importantly, have a positive attitude
  • have had some previous experience in a surgical, medical or community setting - this is not essential but is desirable
  • be capable of working autonomously
  • have a reasonable level of fitness required to cope with the demanding physical requirements of the job
  • have a full clean driver's licence.
