About the Role
Burwood Hospital is a small friendly facility situated near Burwood Forest. Parking isn't a problem, and the new facilities provide excellent working conditions and a wide range of clinical environments.
We have two fixed term positions available for Enrolled Nurses;
- 1x Part-time, Permanent 0.8FTE
- 1x Part-time, Permanent 0.6FTE

About the Team/Service/ Location
The Spinal Unit is a leading rehabilitation centre at Burwood Hospital and we want you to join our dedicated team providing top class care. A patient - s journey in the spinal unit is complex and challenging with highs and lows, so we need you to be positive and passionate about rehabilitation to ensure our patients reach their full potential.
Professional development is encouraged in the unit and supported by the spinal unit leadership team.
About you
If you are a motivated and enthusiastic Enrolled Nurse with at least one year - s post graduate medical or surgical experience, we would love to hear from you.
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
- Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
- A New Zealand registered Enrolled Nurse with a current practicing certificate
- Effective interpersonal skills and confidence and ability to work effectively with a wide range of people
- Excellent time management skills
- Previous clinical experience working in a medical and/or surgical setting is preferred
- Rehabilitation experience would be a bonus, but not a requirement.
