The opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to support the office of the Prime Minister, the Rt Hon Christopher Luxon. As EA to the Prime Minister, you will be responsible for the efficient management of the Prime Minister's travel logistics and Wellington schedule.
Working closely with the Senior Private Secretary, you will coordinate the Prime Minister's time while in Wellington, organising internal and external meetings and capturing detailed information in his diary.
You will apply your impeccable attention to detail to ensure travel arrangements, including air and surface travel and accommodation, for the Prime Minister and staff are organised seamlessly and communicated promptly with relevant stakeholders including the VIP Transport Service and the New Zealand Police.

This is an events-based position based on a 3-year parliamentary term. The salary band for this role is $76 - $95K per annum. Appointment salary is made on skills and experience and relative to others in similar roles.
What skills or experience would I need to be successful?
To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of three years of experience providing executive-level administrative support. A strong communicator, you will be known for your exceptional written and verbal communication skills and be adept at building relationships with a diverse range of individuals. Flexible and positive in nature, you will be able to quickly adapt to changing priorities and proactively anticipate the needs of those you are supporting.
Your work experience will include arranging travel and accommodation, diary management, meeting and event coordination, and providing a wide range of administrative support to executive-level leaders and their wider teams.
You will be technology savvy and accustomed to working in fast-paced environments, with incredible organisational and time management skills. You will be confident dealing with confidential and sensitive topics and demonstrate a high level of discretion and professionalism.
