About the Role:
As an export agent, you sit in the customer service team. This position is primarily responsible for ensuring all export cargo operations are delivered in full, on time, intact and with client specific requirements met or exceeded. The goal of this role is to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate ocean export shipments from initial booking to final delivery
- Assist clients with forecasting and booking needs to ensure smooth shipping processes
- Provide accurate pricing for export shipments and deliver precise customer quotations
- Organise bookings with shipping lines and coordinate inland transport to the port
- Monitor assigned shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolution of any issue
- Ensure export & custom clearance documentation is processed accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain up-to-date invoicing and ensure accuracy in billing
- Deliver exceptional customer service, promptly addressing customer queries
- This is an onsite position
Skills and Experience:
- Expert in export ocean freight, in-depth knowledge of the NZ freight industry and ability to apply expertise effectively
- Proficient in CargoWise (essential), Microsoft Office and courier bookings
- Strong attention to detail, confident and effective communication skills
- Commitment to deliver exceptional customer service
- Team player, helpful and fun
