Job Description
2021 is off to an exceptionally busy start for our West Auckland client so we are now on the hunt to bring in a team of skilled Fabricator/Welders.
To be successful in this role you will need to meet the follwing criteria:
- High degree of safety awareness
- Operate overhead gantry cranes effectively and safely, as well as being highly skilled in slinging loads
- Able to read and interpret workshop drawings accurately. This includes deciphering the weld symbols, weld prep details and all other drawing abbreviations
- Accurately and quickly able to measure, mark and QA own work as required using tape measures, squares, bevel squares, mathematics for angles, punches and hammers etc.
- Able to use all related tools, such as; grinders, bevelling machines, oxy/acetylene cutting torch, to a high degree of accuracy
- Able to use all welding processes to a high standard and able to pass all tests as per NZS 1554 Parts 1, 2 and 5, and NZS 2980
- Processes used: Flux Core – FCAW/Gas Metal – GMAW – MI in all positions to 6G and proficient in submerged arc welding
