About the Role:
As a seasoned Façade Engineer, you will be responsible for a range of tasks associated with building envelope and façade design, structural engineering and building physics. From conducting a range of structural calculations and analysis to creating detailed drawings and sketches and drafting technical reports and performance specifications you will have a breadth of experience in Façade Engineering. You will be confident designing and reviewing facades for different types of buildings, have good knowledge of constructability to the NZ Building code and relevant AS/NZ standards and be proficient with leading detailed design co-ordination across multiple disciplines. The position is a full-time hybrid role working 40 hours per week.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary qualified in Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- Experienced with the design of commercial, industrial and residential facades to PS1
- Able to conduct design reviews to PS2
- Comfortable overseeing construction monitoring and review to PS4
- Confident with the co-ordination of detailed design for a range of disciplines
- Familiar with high-performance building systems and modern construction practices
- 5 years + consulting experience utilising AS/NZ standards
- Expertise with structural calculations and analysis
- CPEng with Engineering NZ desirable
