About the role:
We are seeking a Customer Support Technician to provide network support (troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance). This role includes ticket-based support and on-site installations for systems developed by our client.

Located in Auckland City Fringe and reporting to the Systems Team Lead, this role will involve exposure to:

- Hotel network Wi-Fi and infrastructure
- Network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Self-service technology (Mobile, Web, Kiosks)
- Vingcard Elsafe (Electronic Locking Systems)
- ISP and networking technologies

This is a great opportunity for a network-focused technician passionate about IT infrastructure and customer service.

Technical Skills needed:
We require a strong understanding of IT systems and networking. The ideal candidate should have:

- Experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi)
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs
- Wi-Fi troubleshooting in high-demand environments
- Familiarity with internet technologies
- Support across Linux, Mac, and Windows

Beneficial, but not required:
- Experience with electronic locking systems
- Familiarity with building automation systems and energy management

Daily Job Requirements:
- Supporting business operations (e.g., server maintenance, Active Directory)
- Remote and on-site customer support
- Assisting with general IT functions and desktop support
- Occasional support for locking systems and automation technologies
- A strong interest in networking technologies
- Team collaboration skills
- Strong communication and time management
- A can-do attitude and eagerness to learn
