Job Description
12 month fixed term contract | Hybrid working week | Great team environment
The Company
This business is a well known name with a great reputation for empowering its people. They are going through an exciting period of change aligning different business units to create a business that will make them the larger player in their market. Due to these changes we are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant for a 12 month contract to support the business with an upcoming year end and audit and a number of project to support this transformation journey
What you will be doing
Working as part of a small finance team you will be responsible for a range of Accounting duties including
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations, fixed assets, and other key ledger accounts.
- Manage the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Ensure all financial processes comply with legal, statutory, and audit requirements. Assist with internal and external audit processes, providing necessary documentation
- Manage the preparation and filing of GST, FBT, and other tax returns, ensuring timely submissions and compliance with local tax laws.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with other departments, providing financial insights and support to help drive business decision
- Experience in a Financial Accounting role, at least 2 years
- Strong workflow management skills.
- High attention to detail and understanding of compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
