Our client is a large charitable trust dedicated to providing vital social and health services to vulnerable communities across New Zealand. The role of Financial Controller will lead the day to day running of the finance team and support the line managers to achieve better outcomes in their financial management strategies and budgeting for their teams. Reporting to the CFO you will also assist in achieving the long term financial goals, ensure robustness in processes, risk management and reporting. We are looking for a strong leader who will focus a “one team” approach.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and lead a high performing Finance Team
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversee Payroll, AR, AP, Facilities and Property functions within the team
- Financial reporting, monthly, quarterly annual and board reporting
- Build strong business partnering relationships with key stakeholders
- Risk frameworks are maintained and effective controls are in place
You will be a CA qualified accountant with relevant senior level experience, preferably in a not for profit organisation. You will bring strong technical and systems skills along with a background in financial reporting and business partnering.
