Financial Systems Accountant - Permanent
Reporting to the 'Manager Financial Systems' the Systems Accountant contributes to the effective financial management and capability at DIA by managing FMIS through the day-to-day operational relationship within Finance, across the user community and external support vendors.
The role is part of Financial Systems Accountant team that work together to provide management of DIA financial System including reviewing system performance, maintenance, and future enhancements.
You will be responsible for:
- Provide FMIS functionality to meet business requirements by identifying and leading financial system improvements that support enhanced financial service delivery
- Providing specialist advice, consultancy and knowledge of finance applications and interfaces within the business environment to the Finance Group and wider Department
- Engage with and manage relationship with FMIS support provider(s)
- Participate as key subject matter expert and consultant on system changes and on business related projects that involve interface with FMIS
- Manage provision of daily setup and user support activities across various systems
- Be involved in the development, and implementation of plans for the management of front-end finance systems and applications
We need someone who has:
- Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud (ERP and EPM) or other major Financial Systems
Relevant financial accounting systems experience - Financial and management accounting experience
- Problem analysis and the ability to identify and develop solutions
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Good teamwork experience
- A keenness to learn and develop
- Visual Basic and/or SQL or similar
- Detailed working knowledge of finance within Government and the financial life cycle covering BAU and projects
