Job Description

  • Part-time Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM (30-minute lunch break) 
  • $33 per Hour + 8% Holiday Pay 
  • Supportive and Welcoming Environment 
  • Starting on 28th of April – minimum for a month 

About our Client: 

Our client is a Christchurch High School in a dynamic and inclusive learning community dedicated to supporting the well-being and success of our students and staff. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate First Aid Assistant to join our client’s team and contribute to the smooth operation of their school’s Sick Bay. 


About the Role:
 

In this essential role, you will work alongside the First Aid Officer to provide quality first aid support to students and staff during school hours. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate medical records, ensuring a clean and well-stocked Sick Bay, and responding promptly to medical situations as they arise. 
  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Attend to sick or injured students and staff, ensuring appropriate care and follow-up. 
  • Maintain accurate records in their database, updating attendance and treatment details. 
  • Contact caregivers when necessary and liaise with them upon arrival. 
  • Arrange transport to a medical centre, hospital, or home as required, and accompany students if necessary. 
  • Maintain infection control protocols, including disinfecting surfaces and washing linens. 

About You:
 

To succeed in this role, you will have: 

  • Available to start on 28th of April – for a minimum of one month. 
  • A current First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain one). 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach. 
  • Basic computer literacy, with the ability to learn new systems. 
  • High attention to detail and excellent record-keeping skills. 
  • A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
