What you will be doing
  
You will be responsible for managing the fixed assets, ensuring financial policies and controls are followed for accurate decision-making. You will also  handle compliance with accounting standards, analyse costs related to sales and projects, and manage the capitalization and upkeep of fixed assets to meet business requirements.
  
Your responsibilities will include
  

  • Managing the fixed assets register, ensuring accurate classification, depreciation, and compliance with accounting standards and financial policies.
  • Supporting year-end audits, focusing on the accuracy of the fixed asset register and capex transactions and providing financial guidance to the commercial and project teams.
  • Providing detailed financial analysis of project costs, budgets, and forecasts including monitoring and tracking capital projects to ensure accurate capex allocation and analysis
  • Preparing comprehensive capex reports outlining project performance, asset investments, and ensuring proper capitalisation in accordance with accounting policies.
  
About you
  
Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing fixed assets, capex, and project accounting, at least 3 years.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards (IFRS or GAAP) and financial policies.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyse financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including project managers, procurement, and operations.
  • Strong communication skills to provide financial guidance to non-financial teams.
