Mō tēnei tūranga - about the role
As part of our fleet team, the Fleet Development Engineer is responsible for delivery of fit for purpose and efficient vehicles for the organisation. You will research and develop requirements and specifications for supply contracts and delivery of safe, legally compliant, and cost-effective vehicles. This team will be responsible for driving the design of our fleet moving forward.

Bring your technical understanding of heavy vehicle design, maintenance, and construction to this critically important position. You will use your strong influencing and negotiating skills to work with suppliers and technical experts to ensure we have safe and fit for purpose vehicles.
To be successful in this role, we'd expect you will have:
- Demonstrated technical ability around heavy vehicle design and construction
- A relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical and research skills to gather requirements and develop specifications
- Experience in project management managing multiple projects
- Excellent relationship building skills, working with a wide range of stakeholders
