The details: Food Supervisor (fixed term – 32 hours per week)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced fixed term food supervisor – 32 hours per week to lead and inspire our dietary services team while ensuring our food safety programme is followed. You will have excellent communication and leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve exceptional results. You will be flexible and have the ability to turn challenges into opportunities.

Mō tātou Ratonga | About our Service
Tokoroa hospital has 17 inpatient beds and a busy emergency department. In addition, there is a four bed primary birthing unit, outpatient service and visiting specialists. The Tokoroa dietary service also manages the busy Tokoroa hospital café and supplies meals for the Meals on Wheels service for our community.
Mōu | About you
Required skills & experience you will need to be considered for this role:
- Demonstrated food safety qualifications – NZQA 2066 or higher
- Demonstrated ability lead a team in compliance with Food Safety policies and procedures
- Demonstrated understanding of food production according to menu and budget constraints
- Strong time management, communication and organisational skills to lead day to day operations
- Working with others to seek solutions to problems as they arise
- Computer literacy.
- Experience in a food service environment, and previous experience in similar roles would be an advantage.
