About the opportunity:
Our client is a leader in forklift training within the Auckland region. They continue to expand due to their high standard of customer service and attention to detail. This has created the opportunity to employ a new team player. The company is prepared to train and certify an experienced forklift driver who is confident and outgoing to fill this role or someone with forklift training and an existing training certification.
Role description:
The Registered Forklift Instructor will be responsible for providing top-notch forklift training, adhering to the Approved Code of Practice for Training Operators and Instructors of Powered Industrial Lift Trucks. Reporting to the Directors, the instructor will play a crucial role in promoting a safe work environment through effective training. As you are traveling to sites to deliver training a full drivers license and clean record is a must.
Responsibilities will include:

Demonstrate excellence in teaching, the ability to inspire, motivate and empower students to succeed

Provide instructional training in policy, procedures, and all regulatory compliance as it relates to forklifts and operators, including compliance with any local regulations and laws

Assume duties of a Sales Representative, as well as Cold Calls on potential customers if no scheduled training

Attend evening staff meeting followed by dinner once every 4-6 weeks
This role will suit someone with all or some of the following background/experience/qualities:

Full New Zealand Class 1 or 2 Drivers Licence with a clean record

Strong knowledge of forklift driving, forklift training certification is a bonus.

Confident speaking to small crowds

Reliable and available for courses

"People person" with an easy-going personality

Reliable and available for courses – 10 hour days with 1 full Saturday and 1 Saturday morning required every 5 weeks
