We are currently looking for a skilled General Medical Imaging Technologist to join our friendly and supportive radiology department at Taranaki Base Hospital. As part of our team, you will play a vital role in promoting the health, well-being, and independence of our community. This position involves working in our general department and participating in our on-call roster, which includes weekends, shifts, and call duties. You should be confident working autonomously and possess the ability to make sound clinical decisions, even in high-pressure situations.

We are seeking applicants who have a passion for general radiology, who are flexible, positive team players with excellent communication skills. With satellite sites in Hawera, Stratford, and Waitara, you will have the chance to work alongside a team of around 60 staff members, supported by nine experienced Radiologists.

  • NZ registration and a current annual practising certificate
  • Excellent technical skills and knowledge
  • Well-developed communication, critical thinking skills and a commitment to family centred care
  • Capable of working independently and within a small team

  • Versatile and able to adapt to a constantly changing environment
  • Able to work well within a close team and be willing to take part in training students.
