The Electricity Authority Te Mana Hiko is an independent Crown entity that regulates the electricity market. We are a kaitiaki of electricity, and our purpose is to enhance New Zealanders' lives, prosperity, and environment through electricity.

About the role
Reporting to the Chief Executive, your responsibilities include leadership, stakeholder engagement, external representation, and contributing to the Authority's overall strategic direction and success.
Through open, constructive and collaborative leadership, you will:
- lead the development and implementation of forward-thinking communication strategies that strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including the public, government, and partner organisations
- champion a culture of engagement by creating inclusive, effective channels for dialogue and collaboration
- oversee data management initiatives to ensure the integrity, accessibility, and use of information for informed decision-making and service improvements
- inspire and empower a multidisciplinary team, fostering professional growth, and innovation
- as part of the executive leadership team, contribute to the overall vision and direction of the organisation.
Are you someone with the following?
- Proven experience in senior leadership, ideally at executive level, leading cross functional teams involving communications, engagement and data
- Exceptional skills in stakeholder engagement and data-driven communication
- A track record of delivering impactful outcomes through collaboration and innovation
- An interest in complex regulatory systems and an understanding of the public sector
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment
