About the role
This 12-month fixed-term role is ideal for a Senior Health and Safety professional with extensive expertise in delivering complex critical risk programmes within large organisations. Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, you will lead one direct report to deliver end-to-end outcomes.
  
A strong understanding of change management is essential, as you’ll need to navigate the complexities of organisational dynamics, ensuring that people remain at the centre of the process. Close collaboration with executive leadership teams and senior managers will be critical to fostering engagement and building support for the project.
  
To excel in this role, you’ll need strong communication and facilitation skills, effective task and time management, and a people-focused approach to success. Highly organised and detail-oriented, you’re hands-on, adaptable, and committed to company values. With energy, resilience, and a solutions-focused mindset, you’ll lead change and drive lasting improvements.
  
Skills and experience  
  • Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety
  • Practical and working knowledge/understanding of the NZ HSWA 2015 and associated regulations, guidelines, codes of practice etc.
  • Demonstrated success in coaching and guiding change
  • Other relevant courses such as BowTie Critical Risk Assessment – trained facilitator
  • Proven project management skills
