- 0.8FTE (32 hours a week), Fixed term till April 2026 due to Parental Leave
- 24/7 rotating roster. Morning, Afternoon and Nights - Monday to Sunday

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join one of the busiest Emergency Departments in Australasia as a Healthcare Assistant.
We are looking for an engaging and friendly Healthcare Assistant to join our nursing team.
As a Healthcare Assistant you will be providing support and care to patients and whanau arriving and being treated in all areas of the Emergency Department.
You will be responsible for carrying out daily tasks within
your shift and working in collaboration with colleagues. You will be supported
by the nursing team with ongoing educational opportunities specific to your
role.
About the Service
Based in the Waipapa building, our department is divided
into functional areas and sees an average of 137,000 presentations per
year.
About you
You will enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team,
have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, a high level of
confidentiality, and the ability to work well under pressure.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Initiative and a proactive approach to work
- Flexible and Adaptable.
- Engaging personality with energy and enthusiasm
- Basic computer literacy
- Physically fit and be able to be on your feet for an entire shift as the role involves a lot of walking around the department.
