About the role:

An opportunity has arisen to be part of our Epsom Day Unit and Gynaecology Outpatients team at Greenlane Clinical Centre. We put the patients at the heart of everything we do.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Healthcare assistant who is looking to work autonomously within a team environment. This is a part-time role of three 8-hour day shifts a week. You will be involved with a range of direct and non-direct patient care. As an integral member of our team, you will have skills in welcoming patients, taking patient observations and giving patient instructions on the next part of their journey.  Tasks involve prepping clinics, ordering and follow up with stock. It is also important you have chaperoning skills to support our patients.
In addition, there are clinics that involve peri-operative work caring for patients undergoing abortion procedures and faster cancer treatment. Full training will be provided.

Working closely with the wider outpatient team, you will be rotating through all Gynaecology Outpatient Clinics and Epsom Day Unit which is a regional service providing care for first trimester abortion.

Qualifications/Experience:

To be successful in this role, you must have successfully completed a minimum of NZQA Level 3 in Health & Wellbeing. Other skills that are recommended are:

experience working with patients

theatre experience

no conscientious bias in provision of abortion care
