- Permanent Full-Time Opportunity
- Location: Dunedin - Otago & Southland (Regular travel required)
- Salary: Competitive, based on experience

We are seeking experienced clinicians, who are hands on and knowledgeable in clinical best practices for complex tamariki and rangatahi. Our ideal candidate will be able to engage effectively across multiple settings and collaborate with various agencies, both independently and as a part of a team.

 

Mō te tūnga | About the Role:

Join our High and Complex Needs (HCN) Interagency Unit, where we collaborate with multiple government sectors and non-government agencies to develop effective solutions for tamariki and rangatahi facing high and complex needs.
As an HCN Specialist, you will lead the coordination and facilitation of the Interagency Team (IAT), ensuring that we provide tailored support plans that build skills and promote a positive future for tamariki and their families. This role balances people engagement and administrative responsibilities, requiring sound clinical knowledge, strong self-motivation, highly developed organisational skills, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate closely with professionals, whānau and tamariki to create intensive support plans.
• Coordinate services and interventions to foster positive changes.
• Produce high-quality documentation and reports for stakeholders.
• Build respectful working relationships across various agencies.

We are a diverse team of professionals, including psychologists, mental health nurses, social workers, and more, united in our mission to improve outcomes for children and young people with high and complex needs.

 

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What You Will Bring:
You will need to have strong credibility and relationship management and clinical skills related to working with tamariki and rangatahi which will allow you to engage and influence at all levels. You'll be a high-level communicator capable of providing best practice advice, plans and reports to stakeholders and the Interagency Management Groups (IMGs).

• 5+ years of senior-level clinical practice experience in health, education, or social services.
• Experience in inter-agency collaboration and across different sectors.
• An understanding of government processes.
• Strong communication and relationship management skills.
• Leadership experience and a commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• Knowledge of contemporary issues and best practices in service delivery for tamariki and rangatahi .
