Mō te tūnga - About the Role

  • Two permanent roles available
  • Based in Greymouth

We are looking for superstar who is passionate in providing exceptional care to our clients at their residence.

You will be responsible for supporting clients with personal care and household management within their home. Providing quality care to people of all ages and supporting them to remain in their homes. We are a unique close-knit community where your work will make a real difference. This isn - t a job for just anyone, joining us means sharing our goals and values and being dedicated to this community and our team as we seek to become a centre of excellence in rural health care

We currently have two positions available:
Part time Home Support Worker - Option 1
0.8FTE (32 hours a week)
Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. 4 hour shifts between 8am - 8pm.

Part time Home Support Worker - Option 2
0.4FTE (16 hours a week)
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Shifts between 8am - 8pm. Some weekend work maybe required.

The successful candidate must have a current full drivers - licence and their own vehicle to travel. Salary is based on the collective agreement for Home and Community Support Workers - PSA with WCDHB.

We are looking for a reliable, proactive and flexible candidate who is able to bring their passion to our services. This role will suit anyone who is willing to gain experience in healthcare.

Full training will be provided to all new staff joining our team. 

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako - Skills and Experience

  • Current full drivers licence and own vehicle as travel will be required.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Compassion and the ability to engage with a wide range of people
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills
  • NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 2 or higher) is preferred but not essential
