About the Company:
For over 50 years, Drake Medox has been the health and community care recruitment arm of Drake New Zealand, providing quality healthcare workers for individuals living with disabilities. We're a specialized provider of support for those with complex needs to live safely and independently within their home.
About the role:
The role involves supporting clients who have spinal cord and/or brain injuries. Depending on the client and the severity of their injury, you will be required to complete some or all these tasks:
- Personal cares - bowel cares and catheter management
- Complete stretches and transfers using hoists.
- Household chores, meal preparation and medication administration
- Transportation (using the client's vehicle)
- Assisting the client with accessing community facilities, going shopping, meeting friends, and attending medical appointments
About you:
- Right to work in New Zealand
- Full NZ driver's license (without restrictions)
- Own reliable transport
- Must be able to work 5-7 days per week
- Experience with bowel cares
- Willing to work on the weekend
- Willingness to study towards qualifications
- Be able to start ASAP
