The Opportunity

MidCentral provides an excellent grounding in Intensive Care Medicine for Senior House Officers looking to grow and develop their skills. The ICU is small but busy unit with a range of trauma as well as critically ill medical and surgical patients. There is also the opportunity for theatre time for those interested in anaesthesia. The ICU runs a shift roster with on call SMO support overnight.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.  You can check your eligibility for registration by visiting the Council's website at www.mcnz.org.nz
• Completed PGY2 year or equivalent.
• A keen interest in ICU or anaesthetics.
