About the Role
Health Technology Management (HTM) provides guardianship of medical devices across the country. We are a team of talented individuals working together to make a positive difference to the people we serve, the communities we work in and to each other!
The Health Technology ICT team provides expert consultancy and implementation for digitally enabled medical devices. Every day will apply your knowledge and experience to new situations and equipment as we integrate digital devices into our hospitals and clinics. You will carry out IT risk assessment of new technology and equipment and help develop risk mitigations.
We are looking for an energetic and talented Health Technology Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Technologist to join our team from at the Middlemore Hospital Campus (other locations may be considered). This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week Monday to Friday.
About You
This is an evolving role in the Clinical Engineering field, and this is your opportunity to help grow the role with a focus to provide specialist ICT knowledge not only to Counties Manukau but also HTM nationally. You will work alongside our Health Technology Operations teams and Digital Services partners.
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
- 5+ years’ hands on experience in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) technical field with a broad understanding of ICT systems (including networks, hardware, servers, etc.) and software
- Relevant tertiary engineering qualification NZQA level 5/6 or equivalent level of practical experience, e.g., Diploma or degree in Electronics, ICT or Electrical Engineering and/or Clinical Engineering).
- Strong technical skills and understanding of ICT principles and/or medical equipment, electronics, and mechanical systems.
- A desire to tackle new situations, adapt to new contexts, and solve fresh problems.
