We are seeking an experienced Receptionist to join our Inpatient Receptionist team here at Health New Zealand 183 Pembroke Street, Waikato Hospital, Hamilton.
As a successful Receptionist, you will play a key role in offering reception and administrative responsibilities to the team in a very busy environment. The successful applicant must be methodical in approach, highly organised, flexible, and have the desire to be a supportive team member and have excellent customer service skills.
Day to day you will be welcoming patients and visitors, answering the telephone and answering any inquiries and liaise with Medical Team. Data capturing of patient flow. Assisting patients with completing necessary forms and documentation. Keeping a clean and calm reception area in busy environment.
Part Time Positions available:
Part-Time – 16 hours per week – Saturday 7 am - 3:30 pm and Sunday 2 pm - 10:30 pm.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Maintain high standards of customer focus at all times.
- Accurate verification, checking and recording of client/patient information/virtual boarding.
- Completes receptionist responsibilities for waitlists, reminders, admissions, referrals, appointments and discharges
- Accurate establishment and filing of clinical records.
- Entering information into databases accurately and real time, and in accordance with relevant patient information systems guidelines.

Inpatient Receptionist is committed to front desk operations in the wards, responsible for greeting, admitting, discharging, transfer of patient staying within the ward and managing patient records. They ensure the smooth running of the reception area and provide essential support to healthcare staff and our success is driven by the care of patients and their whanau.
