About the role:
The Integrity Intervention Centre is a business unit that sits under the Integrity and Debt group of the Ministry of Social Development.
Our purpose is to detect and intervene early to support clients and their whanau on their journey to become safe, strong, and independent, when they have a change in circumstances. We work with clients early to help them minimise or potentially avoid a debt.
We provide integrity to our benefit system by data matching and information sharing with other Government Agencies to check the information we have is current and correct.
As well as processing and updating information into the MSD systems, we talk with our clients via both incoming and outgoing phone calls and emails. It is important we take pride in the quality of our service that centers on clients – ensuring they have a positive experience with us every time.
What you'll need to succeed and the key attributes we are looking for:
- You're a fast learner who enjoys processing and handling a lot of information.
- Open to change and like to learn from it, which makes you a flexible person.
- You work efficiently, accurately and can make good decisions.
- Culturally aware with a strong focus on empathetic communication and has the skills to be able to build trust and rapport with clients.
- Comfortable navigating technology such as different applications on a PC.
- Attention to detail with a solution focussed approach.
- Enjoy working in a diverse and inclusive team environment.
- Previous product and processing experience is desirable but not essential.

- No shift work - Monday to Friday. If a business need arises Saturdays are reserved for overtime and are on voluntary basis.

Appointment to the band is determined by several factors such as relevant experience and skills with a typical starting salary of $60,707 per annum.

- From the shortlisting stage, candidates that the Panel wish to see, will be invited to attend an Assessment Centre and a Face-to-Face Interview. These interviews will be conducted from 25th November 2024 to 29th November 2023.
- From the interview stage, candidates that the Panel wish to offer a position to, will go through reference checks (which includes background and police checks).
- Successful candidates will receive a written offer.
- Tentative start date is 22 January 2025.
