About the Role

Are you an experienced RN with a can-do attitude and the flexibility to adapt to a changing and dynamic clinical environment on a daily basis? If so,Registered Nurse Inter-Hospital Road Transport role could be the ideal next step for you!

You are a critical part of managing Patient Flow in and out of the hospital, safely assessing and caring for patients who need to travel for appropriate treatment and care by road. Transfers between Wairau and Nelson, Wairau and Care facilities. You work closely with Duty Manager team, Wards, and Inter hospital Patient Transfer Co Ordinator.

About you

  • Be a senior RN or working toward senior level PDRP.
  • Have current FTE in an acute area.
  • Have an ongoing commitment to professional development. 
  • Be a confident practitioner with well-developed patient assessment skills & knowledge in an acute care setting.
  • Be adaptable and flexibility in a dynamic rapidly changing work environment. 
  • Demonstrate willingness to work closely with our stakeholders and represent Health NZ l Te Whatu Ora Nelson Marlborough in a positive manner.
  • Be an exceptional communicator with the ability to quickly connect and build rapport with patients.
