About the role:
H2R Consulting has partnered with a with a Kiwi-owned and operated legal firm known for its innovative approach, commitment to excellence, and collaborative work environment. They are currently seeking a dynamic Interim Finance Manager to join their team for parental leave cover. In this role, you will oversee the financial operations and manage a high-performing team of six individuals.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure.
- Coordinate, analyse, and report the financial performance to management, partners and the Board.
- Ensure that the firm’s financial systems are robust, compliant, and support current activities and future growth.
- Lead and manage a finance team of six, providing direction, guidance, and mentorship.
- Prepare and file Inland Revenue Department tax returns, fringe benefit returns and resident withholding tax returns.
- Develop financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements.
- Prepare and present monthly and annual financial statements.
- Manage budgeting processes, including budget preparation, monitoring, and adjustments.
- Preparation of monthly statements, Law Society reports and regulatory filings.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
About you:
- You will have experience in a similar role from the legal industry or a CA firm.
- CA/CPA or equivalent qualified.
- Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and effectively.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage workloads, meet deadlines and adapt to changing circumstances.
