Contract: 12-month, fixed term contract, full time (Monday - Friday, 40 hrs per week, rostered overtime and some public holidays)

About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated intern pharmacists with good communication skills, who are committed to providing a quality pharmacy service to our patients.
We have 2 positions based at Wellington Hospital with the opportunity to rotate to Kenepuru and Hutt hospital. Wellington Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides a wide range of tertiary services to the Wellington Region. These services include nephrology, oncology, neonatal, paediatric, cardiothoracic, intensive care, neurosurgery, haematology, radiotherapy and psychiatry.
About the Team/Service/Location
The pharmacy team is well respected by clinicians, nursing staff, and senior management across the organisation, and is constantly looking at ways to improve the service and care it delivers. We provide a comprehensive pharmacy service throughout to the Capital Coast and Hutt Valley District, which includes a clinical service, dispensary & logistics service, and a quality & risk service. Through these services, we aim to improve the quality and effectiveness of prescribing, supply and distribution of medicines throughout the Capital Coast and Hutt Valley District. Our teams value professional growth, and emphasizes clinical development and medicines optimization for our patients.
About you
We want to hear from you if you are self-motivated in developing your clinical and professional practice and are keen to learn about all aspects of hospital pharmacy. You must be passionate about people and learning.
New Zealand University Pharmacy students - ensure you also complete your Te Whatu Ora Hospital Pharmacy Internship preferencing as part of the application process - this will be distributed to your university email addresses in early April.
Non-New Zealand University Pharmacy students - we welcome your application if you have successfully passed the KAPS/OPRA exam.
