Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting several Kaiārahi Pokapū Tauira - Student Service Centre Advisers to join our Student Service Centre within Tītoko on 4-5 month fixed-term, full-time contracts.
In this role you will be responsible for delivering efficient, accurate and timely support to a wide range of customers including students, prospective students, whanau, staff, visitors and members of the public. The Kaiārahi Pokapū Tauira - Student Service Centre Advisers work collaboratively and proactively to provide the best possible support and service.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality advice and support on all tier one related enquiries through a range of channels, including face-to-face, phone, and email
- Maintain a high level of knowledge and understanding of the University's services, systems, and processes to support exceptional customer service
- Accurately record interactions and maintain student records as required
- Work closely with team members and other departments to resolve complex issues
- Ensure follow up and ownership of allocated cases to ensure the best customer outcomes

- have excellent communication skills with the ability to express complex information in an accurate and concise form for a variety of audiences
- have the ability to learn at pace
- have the ability to remain calm under pressure and resilience in handling high volumes of work
- have proficient computer skills
- be highly organised and demonstrate an ability to work efficiently and collaboratively while maintaining an eye for detail and continuous improvement
- be a self-starter with a positive approach to work and a passion for people and continuous learning.
