About the Role
Do you have exceptional customer service with a smile, then come join our great team working Waikato Hospital where you will be serving patient meals and beverages as well as working as a menu processor covering leave. This is an ideal position for someone with a nutrition or food science background who wishes to gain experience in a hospital environment.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Serving patient meals on the tray line
- Washing dishes using a commercial dishwasher
- Delivering meals to patients
- Making beverages for patients

Waikato Hospital is a major regional hospital in Hamilton and is a leading tertiary teaching hospital located in Hamilton, New Zealand, serving as the regional hub for the Midland area, which includes the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Lakes, Tairawhiti, and Taranaki districts. About you
We are looking for someone who has:
- Exceptional customer service experience preferably in the hospitality sector as you will be working with patients in a healthcare environment
- Be able to show care and empathy towards our patients
- High standard of personal presentation as you will be the face of our service in the wards
- Extremely reliable and with a great attendance record
- The ability to work unsupervised and within a team
- The ability to work rostered shifts and duties, between 6.30am & 8.30pm (It may include weekends & public holidays. Your role/hours will be confirmed on offer).
- Good Computer skills and an attention to detail
