- Access to Essential Medicines pillar of the Polynesian Health Corridors programme
- Work collaboratively with Pacific country counterparts
The Polynesian Health Corridors (PHC) team supports Polynesian countries through a range of modalities. In addition to directly assisting countries in some areas, the PHC team also contracts partners/suppliers for technical assistance, acts as a knowledge hub, supports mentoring and facilitates connections.
About the role
The Access to Essential Medicines (AEM) pillar's objective is to provide Polynesian countries with advice and support in the stock management, technology and procurement of reliable, safe and affordable medicines. Lead – AEM will provide strategic and technical advice to establish and deliver the programme activity plans for the pillar.
As Lead, you will be leading the strategic development, planning, monitoring, reporting and implementation of the Access to Essential Medicines pillar. You will provide technical advice to Polynesian countries as required, through supporting other leaders in the group.
This role is fixed term for 5 years and has a salary midpoint of $140,938, actual salary dependent on your experience.
Ko pūkenga - What you'll bring
- Familiar with health and development issues of Polynesian countries and the connections to Pasifika communities in NZ
- Knowledge of international development, development programmes and principles
- Significant experience in matters relating to pharmaceuticals and pharmacy management
- Highly analytical mindset and strong written skills with ability to convey to a range of audiences
- Tertiary qualification in Pharmacy, Public Health, Population Health, or a relevant field
