Role description: As the Lead Development Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and executing innovative designs, solving complex engineering challenges, and working closely with clients to ensure project success. This is a hands-on, varied role that will require both technical expertise and excellent communication skills, encompassing every stage of the project from concept design through to commissioning and follow-up reviews. Responsibilities will include: Leading the design and development of water slide and aquatic systems. Collaborating with clients, staff and partners to understand the needs and deliver innovative tailored solutions. Conducting detailed thermodynamic and mechanical design analysis and providing solutions to complex engineering challenges. Creating designs using 3D Auto Desk based modelling and overseeing the manufacturing, installation and commissioning. Troubleshooting computer control systems and ensuring project delivery. This role will suit someone with all or some of the following background / experience / qualities: Experience in design and construction, preferably in the aquatic or related industries. Strong proficiency in CAD/3D modelling software and computer-based design tools. Solid understanding of spatial design and concept development. Ability to perform critical thinking and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients. A relevant tertiary qualification in engineering or a related field.
