Te Kura Toi School of Arts is seeking two full-time Lecturers in English:
- One position specialising in Literature in English pre-1900
- One position specialising in Literature in English post-1900
Both roles will involve teaching relevant undergraduate and postgraduate courses, actively contributing to the School's research culture, and supervising student research.
Salary will be in the range of $87,500 to $104,322 per year based on skills, knowledge and experience. This is a full-time role (37.5 hours a week), based on our Hillcrest Campus.

Ko wai koe? - Who are you?
You will have a PhD in English. You will bring a passion for and expertise in English literary studies, support the University's commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and understand how your research contributes to the profession and the wider community.
You will have experience teaching undergraduate students, including lecturing to large groups and conducting small-group seminars and tutorials. Your teaching will be research-led, enhanced by innovative methods, materials, models, and virtual techniques. In addition, you should be able to demonstrate how your own research contributes to or extends the existing research strengths in the English programme and in Te Kura Toi School of Arts.

The role of Te Kura Toi School of Arts is to teach at undergraduate, postgraduate, and experiential (internship/externship) levels in the fields of Arts, including Environmental Planning, Humanities, Music, and Media, and Creative Technologies, and to undertake research in these areas. The school offers a range of papers in Arts at undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional training levels.
