Machine Operator

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented QC Machine Operator to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of printed products through attentive machine operation and thorough inspection processes. This role requires physical stamina, an excellent attendance record, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, time-driven environment.

Job Title: QC Machine Operator - Temp position 

Location: Hamilton

Shift Details:

• Rotational Shifts:
  • Monday - Friday: 6 AM – 2 PM (8 hours)
  • Monday - Thursday: 1:45 PM – 11:45 PM (10 hours)

Pay Rate: $25 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and operate stationary machines processing a variety of short and long run work.
• Handle light machinery within the post-printing process.
• Conduct quality control checks and inspections of printed products.
• Engage actively in GMP, HACCP, and Health & Safety activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and daily reporting.
• Adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Uphold general housekeeping standards for equipment and the department.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Full NZ Class 1 Licence preferred but not essential.
• Forklift (F) Endorsed preferred but not essential.
• Physically fit and able to stand for the entire shift.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and possess an excellent work ethic.
• Self-motivated and willing to go the extra mile.
• Quick and accurate with computations.
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy with numbers.
• Fluent in English with good communication skills.
• Ability to work quickly and maintain quality under tight deadlines.
• High levels of initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering jobs on time and to specification.
• Own transport and a full license are preferred due to the hours of work.
• Excellent attendance rate.
• No epilepsy due to the presence of strobe lights in the work environment.
