Job Description

We are on the hunt for Maintenance Engineers to join a thriving Kiwi business Ngauranga Gorge. Our client are a leading provider in their space and are committed to delivering top-quality services and solutions to their customers.

The successful candidate/s will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing machinery and equipment to ensure optimal production and operation efficiency. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Details
  • The hours of work are Wednesday to Saturday 5.30am – 5pm, Sunday to Wednesday 5.30am – 5pm or Monday – Friday 4.30pm – 3.30am
  • Hourly rate of $45 - $50 per hour depending on experience
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Ensure all equipment and systems are operating efficiently and safely
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve production processes and equipment reliability
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules
  • Order and maintain inventory of spare parts and tools
  • Train and mentor junior maintenance staff
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies
We are looking for
  • Level 4 Trade certificate in maintenance and diagnostics – this hands-on experience is non-negotiable
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Welding ability Tig, Mig, MMAW
  • Good knowledge of sound engineering principals, repairs and maintenance procedures on a large industrial processing site or a passion to learn in this environment
  • Experience in regular maintenance, servicing of machinery and routine checks
  • The ability to analyse problems and implement effective solutions in a timely manner and communicate this with those around you
  • Experience in managing the maintenance of critical spares
