Job Description
6 month fixed term contract | Mt Wellington | Flexible working arrangements
The Company

Due to a recent acquisition we are seeking an experienced Management Accountant for a 6 month fixed-term role to coordinate and prepare financial accounting, management reporting, and analysis to support the business.
What you will be doing
In this role, you'll assist with budgeting, forecasting, and project work, as well as delivering improvements in processes across the organization. You will play a crucial part in providing accurate and timely monthly financial and management information, working closely with key internal stakeholders across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting & Analysis: Monitor monthly job and revenue reports and branch reporting models for several regions. Assist with the preparation of monthly financial and management reports, balance sheet forecasting, and consolidation.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the preparation of the annual budget and review monthly and annual forecasts, providing analysis of variances against targets.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal customers, including regional managers, to support financial insights and reporting.
- Project Work: Contribute to systems, process improvements, analysis, and ad hoc projects as required.
- Process Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements in financial processes, and collaborate with senior finance leaders to deliver financial projects.
About You:
- Qualified Accountant with relevant experience in a similar role, at least 3 years.
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and ideally some working knowledge of PowerBI
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a passion for process improvement.
