Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We’re looking for a senior people and operations leader to oversee an integrated corporate services portfolio—Finance, People & Culture and ICT.
You’ll lead a capable team of subject matter experts, provide financial and operational guidance at executive level, and support the strategic delivery of the agency’s goals. You’ll also hold the designations of Chief Security Officer and Chief Information Security Officer, and play a key role in risk, safety, and business continuity frameworks.
This is a rare opportunity to take on a broad and influential leadership role in a purpose-led public sector environment.

You’re an experienced senior leader with strong financial expertise and a track record of delivering across corporate services functions. You’re confident working with executive teams and boards, have sound judgement, and bring a proactive, people-centred leadership style.
You understand the machinery of government, and you’re motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the public good through operational excellence.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and Experience
You’ll ideally bring:
- Proven senior leadership in corporate services (public or private sector)
- Deep experience in financial strategy and operational delivery
- A relevant tertiary qualification—ideally in accounting or finance
- Understanding of public sector compliance and risk frameworks
- Strong stakeholder, communication, and influencing skills
- Experience leading high-performing teams across disciplines
- Sound knowledge of security, risk, and continuity planning is a bonus
Te painga o te mahi tahi me mātou | Benefits
- Salary: $180,000 – $190,000 + KiwiSaver
- Full-time, permanent role (37.5 hours/week)
- Flexible work policy, including hybrid options
- 20 days annual leave + 5 additional departmental leave days
