The role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager Health, Safety and Wellbeing to lead this critical function, and small national team, for the NZSIS and GCSB.
In this role you will work closely with agency Senior Leadership Teams and People leaders to set the direction for health, safety and wellbeing in support of the agencies and their people, to deliver our important national security mission of keeping New Zealand and New Zealanders safe and secure.

Who we're looking for
- Extensive specialised experience (5 - 7 years) across the health and safety function at a senior level of a complex medium to large sized organisation
- Experience in developing and implementing health and safety strategies, work plans, processes, systems and solutions within medium to large complex organisations
- Proven relationship management experience, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of an organisation
- Proven people leader experience
- A pragmatic approach to achieving successful outcomes
Before you apply
Working within our unique environment means we have to ensure you're eligible for employment.
You must:
- Have been a New Zealand Citizen for at least 10 years
OR
Hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years
- Be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance
- Ordinarily, this means you'll have a 15 year checkable background in countries NZSIS Vetting can make meaningful and reliable checks.
