The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is the heart of Aotearoa New Zealand's cyber defence. We fulfil the cyber security responsibilities of the Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) | Te Tira Tiaki, to detect and disrupt high-impact cyber threats for nationally significant organisations.

The role
The Manager Operations & Platforms is a crucial role within the NCSC and is responsible for the operational aspects of NCSC technology platforms that ensure the seamless integration and optimisation of critical systems that keep the business running smoothly.
Leading 2 teams of engineers, you will be working closely with branch leaders and stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, develop and implement operational policies while also developing your teams, steering them towards success.

Who we're looking for
Proven experience in IT Operations is a requirement for this role. In addition to this, you will also have experience in:
- Leading engineers through transformation
- Customer and stakeholder relationship building and maintaining
- Working within the public sector
- Developing and delivering multiple programmes of work
Before you apply
Working within our unique environment means we have to ensure you're eligible for employment.
You must:
- Have been a New Zealand Citizen for at least 10 years
OR
Hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of the UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years
- Be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance
- Ordinarily, this means you'll have a 15 year checkable background in countries NZSIS Vetting can make meaningful and reliable checks.
